Call for co-financing of solar power plants in agriculture published

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition announced Call for allocation of funds from the Modernization Fund for the use of renewable energy sources in the sector of primary agricultural production and processing of agricultural products.

The objective of the Call is to encourage investments in the generation of electricity from renewable sources for self-consumption, while reducing energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

  1. Key information about the Call:
    • Total funds: 30 million euros
    • Minimum grant amount: 5,000 euros
    • Maximum grant amount: 5 million euros per applicant
    • Intensity of support: from 30% to 65% of eligible costs, depending on the type of investment and the size of the enterprise
    • Application deadline: from 9 November 2026 at 10:00 to 31 January 2027 at 12:00, or until the funds are exhausted.

Investing in a solar power plant can provide agricultural holdings with greater energy independence and a long-term reduction in electricity costs.

Subventions for solar power plants

  1. Installation of photovoltaic power plants and battery systems in family houses in 2026.
    • Call for applications opened: September 2, 2026, at 9:00 AM, and is currently temporarily closed.
    • Users: natural persons – citizens
    • Co-financing: 50% to 70% for households at risk of energy poverty
    • Budget: 20 million euros for photovoltaic power plants and 8 million euros for battery systems
    • Eligible costs: system installation costs incurred from the date of publication of the public call, and advance payments for system installation, provided that they were incurred and paid on or after January 1, 2026.
