Terms and criteria
Based on the Government of the Republic of Croatia's Conclusion dated October 19, 2023, and for the purpose of announcing the Public Call for the energy renovation of family houses in 2024, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund announces the Terms and criteria for co-financing the energy renovation of family houses in 2024.
The Fund will allocate funds for direct co-financing of energy renovation measures for existing family houses in 2024 within the framework of the following activities:
- Comprehensive energy renovation, which includes increasing the thermal protection of the elements of the external envelope of the heated space through the implementation of at least one of the measures on the external envelope of the family house and the installation of technical systems for the use of renewable energy sources
- Increasing the thermal insulation of the elements of the external envelope of the heated space through the implementation of at least one of the measures on the external envelope of the family house
- Installation of heating/cooling systems and preparation of domestic hot water using renewable energy sources
- Installation of technical systems for electricity production using renewable energy sources for own consumption
For co-financing energy renovation measures, owners and co-owners of houses with up to 600 m2 and/or up to three residential units and more than 50% of the area designated for housing can apply. The condition for co-financing is that the applicants have residency in the house, proper ownership, and appropriate proof that the house is fully legal.
For houses damaged in earthquakes, it will be possible to obtain up to 80% of eligible investment costs, while all other owners of family houses (that meet the criteria of the Public Call) can expect up to 60% co-financing.
Depending on the percentage of participation and planned energy renovation measures, the maximum amount of incentives will be €62,120 per application.
